W26-25. Table Graphascope c 1880. Developed in France in the late 1850's. It combines a large magnifier lens for viewing post cards and a lens pair for viewing stereo 3d cards. For storage it folds down into a compact attractive black lacquered box 6x9x3" decorated with cut flowers and vines on the face containing the lenses. The large lens has a 1" crack along the cord about 1/8" from the edge which does not interfere with the optics. Complete with 5 stereo cards. Slight twist on bottom plate, overall in very fine condition. 9 x 5 3/4 x 3 1/4" closed. Copyright (c) 1995 Antiques of Science and Technology All rights reserved.
