W66-02: Early Fullers Spiral Slide Rule, 1897, serial # 1050
A cylindrical slide rule with a logarithmic scale wound in a sprial on a hollow cylinder. The scale diminsions are 3 1/8" dia. x 12". The overall length is 16 1/2" including a 3 1/2" handle. Although this rule is smaller than the Thachers, item W26-14, it carries a 42 feet long logrimithic scale, ten feet longer than the Thachers. This gives the Fuller the edge in reading accuracy, though less convenient to use. The rule is in excellent condition. Complete with mahogany box and instruction manual. This is an early model without the brass rule support on the box.
